IS THIS THE FUTURE OF ONLINE SHOPPING? A FIRST THROUGH GOOGLE CARDBOARD

An app for Google Cardboard, is providing a VR tour of a physical Google shop launching at Currys in London.  A first store of it's kind.

Available from the Google Play Store, the 'Point and go' VR tour allows the user to explore the various sections of the store at will.  Throughout the experience, a guide provides an insight in to why certain aspects of the store, feature what they do.

Google wanted to create a new retail space, "To show people what we do, and what we are about.  A new place for exploring, playing, learning and if you are so inclined, shopping.", states Lockie Mcgrath, Head of Retail & Design at Google.

As well as fun activities for all ages, including a large Google Doodle board, the shop also has Google products to buy such as Chromecast, and Chromebook.  Check out the video below to see the app in action.
